Nick holds a degree in music education with a vocal concentration from the University of Southern Maine. He sang for three years in the acclaimed USM Chamber Singers under Dr. Robert Russell and for a year under Philip J.C. Fournier in the Cathedral Schola Cantorum, a small a cappella ensemble specializing in Gregorian chant and early polyphony. For a year and a half he was the choral director of the University of New England's a capella group TABS, an ensemble for which he was required to arrange much of the repertoire.
In addition to feeding his early music addiction as a member of the St. Mary Schola, he serves as bass section leader in Portland's Choral Art Society, teaches private voice lessons in the greater portland area and beyond, and sharpens his composing/arranging skills through collaboration with local musicians.
Nick plans to attend graduate school for composition and conducting and has an abiding interest in art history and spirituality.
